GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Last date for abstract submission is 31st October 2017 Submit Abstract

All abstracts must be submitted electronically in the abstract submission area of the website

  • A person may submit up to 3 abstracts
  • All material must be original work of the authors listed
  • Each abstract must identify the presenting author
  • Material submitted in the abstracts should not have been presented or published earlier
  • All the submitted abstracts shall be construed as the property of the scientific committee.
  • Final decision regarding acceptance of the abstract shall be taken by the scientific committee and communicated through email.

Abstracts for ‘Oral Free Paper’ and ‘Poster’

At the time of submission, please indicate the preference among the categories of ‘Oral Free Paper’ and ‘Poster’ for presentation. However, the scientific committee reserves the right to assign an abstract submitted to the “Oral Free paper’ category to the ‘Poster’ category.

In the abstract submission from, use the following fields for constructing the abstracts:

  • Title
  • Authors (First Name, Last Name, Degree, Affiliation, Email ID)
  • Body of abstract (organized as Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion)
  • Conflict of Interest
  • Acknowledgements (optional)

Total word count for the body of abstract should not exceed 300 words.

The duration of each free paper is 10 minutes (8 minutes presentation and 2 minutes question and answer session).

Abstracts for Symposia

In the abstract submission from, use the following fields for constructing the abstracts:

    • Title of the symposium
    • Convener of the symposium (First Name, Last Name, Affiliation, Email ID)
    • Titles of the individual presentations
    • Presenters of individual presentation (First Name, Last Name, Affiliation, Email ID) 
    • Body of Abstract (combined for the symposium as a whole)
    • Conflict of interest
    • Acknowledgements (optional)

Total word count for the body of abstract should not exceed 300 words.

The duration of each symposium is 60 minutes.

Proposal for Workshops

Workshops should have specific learning objectives related to building the skills of the participants in the clinical care or research in the area of addictions (rather than merely providing knowledge or orientation). Workshops are expected to have an interactive format.

Format for workshop proposal:

    • Title
    • Facilitator(s) of the workshop (First Name, Last Name, Degree, Affiliation, Email ID)
    • Learning Objectives
    • Description of the topic and methodology
    • Optimum number of attendees
    • Specific requirements for conducting the workshop

The duration of each workshops is 90 minutes

It is essential for the presenting authors and workshop facilitators to register online for the conference.
